In this episode, Dr. Kathleen Sturgeon discusses her research into the use of exercise in cancer treatment. Dr. Sturgeon is an assistant professor of public health sciences at Penn State College of Medicine. She researches exercise physiology, especially as it relates to oncology or cancer. Dr. Sturgeon specializes in a form of research called translational science, which stresses collaboration and communication between scientific disciplines.
